The process begins when fuel is injected into the cylinder, then the spark plug ignites the fuel-air mixture, resulting in the explosion that pushes the piston downward, generating power.

One of the main advantages of gasoline engines is their availability and widespread use. Gasoline is readily available at gas stations worldwide, making it convenient for drivers. Additionally, gasoline engines tend to be less expensive and easier to maintain compared to other engine types. However, they can be less fuel-efficient compared to diesel engines and produce more carbon emissions.

Diesel Engines:
